Women’s Health Initiative
The Consortium’s Women’s Health Initiative is dedicated to addressing specific health issues that are prevalent among women and often overlooked by traditional medicine. This initiative focuses on providing personalized solutions for conditions such as heart disease, breast and colorectal cancer, and osteoporosis, which are significant causes of death and disability in postmenopausal women. By conducting a longitudinal study of health and wellness outcomes, the initiative aims to improve the understanding and management of these conditions.
Additionally, the initiative includes research into women’s health concerns related to cancer treatment, sleep difficulties, and chronic pain. Women are more likely to experience chronic pain than men and often face disparities in pain management and treatment. The initiative supports research projects targeting women-specific issues like endometriosis and provides education for various women’s groups, including aging communities and cancer support patients. Through these efforts, The Consortium aims to build a supportive community and enhance the overall health and well-being of women.
