Our Mission

The Clinical Endocannabinoid System Consortium, “The Consortium,” consisting of a collaboration of diverse scientific partners, is a research, educational, and outreach organization that studies the safety and efficacy of community-accessible Cannabis products.

Our Vision

To see a world where Cannabis use is re-established with validated products and practices.  To reduce sickness and disease through the investigation of botanical products

We are an experienced committee of researchers who hold the passionate belief that the pursuit of knowledge involves collaboration with diverse communities.

The Consortium is a leading provider of Cannabis science research services.

Using an established consortium of scientists, the Consortium works to make Cannabis safer and more accessible. Our diverse organization helps bridge the gap between Cannabis product development and delivery. We have a proven ability to generate authoritative, real-world evidence of product effectiveness, safety, and value.

Developing a Cannabis product through commercialization, and demonstrating its post-launch value and safety is a complex journey. Regulatory hurdles and decision-making increase the complexity. The Consortium aligns Cannabis communities, scientific expertise, and industry insight to help make informed decisions early in the product development journey and, ultimately, validates products to improved outcomes.

Our flagship initiative, The Dosing Project, establishes a real-world data registry.  The Dosing Project is a core strength, the generating, analyzing, and communicating clinical evidence throughout the Cannabis product lifecycle.  Investigators, alongside Dr. Jean Talleyrand, are innovators committed to working with Cannabis communities, governments, and academic institutions. They recognize the opportunity to meet the need for scientific evidence in a developing industry.

The Consortium takes seriously the task of well produced products with the Agronomy Initiative.  Utilizing cultivation monitoring systems designed by Onset HOBO Data Loggers, our scientists are able to develop environmentally friendly best management practices that reliably produce high quality Cannabis flowers. Such practices are corroborated by extensive product testing that fold right into the Consortium’s mission objectives.

The most successful journeys start with great maps. The Consortium’s industry-leading experts work in unison to effectively navigate the product lifecycle mapped by Characterization, Categorization, Stratification, Correlation and Certification.  Flight Concepts, Potency Assays, and Process Control offer Sponsors a competitive edge in a market where stakeholders require the right evidence at the right time. We understand what it takes to solve the many-to-many relationships inherent in botanical product development.
